i think you're expressing there the thoughts and feelings of many of us here. i also always wanted to make something expressing how i feel about it. my friends, many of them online friends who are americans know how much i hate their government, their system and the foreign affairs politics conducted by that government.
i've lost some people very close to me because of the brainwash that system submits their citizens to..

two things I would like to add.

Nico1, you should make something, I for one would like to see it. Hating the government and its policies is not hating the people...even though I have little respect for many of my fellow countrymen...I am the same. I hate my government, its brainwashing, its policies and how freedom of the world is stripped by it all through the false name of 'democracy'

second thing...i am not a flag waving patriotic mindless drone.... after reading what i posted last night, i realized it almost sounded like it. I love this country, not its policies, attitutudes or its politicians. Then again, I love many countries and its peoples, even though I may not like how its run. I would fight to protect my family and those I love, unfortunately I was required to fight for someones dislike of someone elses country, belief, etc.

i totally agree.
i do not hate the people of any country. in fact my sister lives in america for 15 years now and my three nieces are americans, and i have many friends there, been there many times.
i am against the mindset of the people who leads the united states as a nation, not against the inhabitants of that land.
i am sure at some point i will compose something related to my personal feelings...my sister who's married to a marine, doesn't speak to me for almost 2 years because i happened to openly demonstrate about the war in irak...i know she's just one example of radical...but that hurts. she's even forbidding me and my eldest sister any contact with our nieces...

Very moving piece...during this time of year especially, I am so proud of those that are fighting for us here in the USA to have the plush and posh life we live. What selfless people. I am ashamed to say that I am not one with that particular trait. I want them home though. Hoping this mess ends soon, but suspect things will never get better, but only continue to torture the home of the free!

The shame of the nation is a core group of politicians that had nothing better to do than to send people like my little brother into first Afghanistan and then into Iraq. Thank the maker that he came home safely. He never talks about if he saw any of his friends die.. but something tells me he did.
